Common Questions

Welcome to Hope City Church! At HCC, our doors are wide open to everyone. Whether you’re a spiritual seeker who’s just starting to ask questions about God, or a Christian looking for a church family, you can find a home here.  If you’re thinking about visiting Hope City Church we are honored. When you visit us on a weekend, introduce yourself to a campus pastor, a team member, or the person sitting next to you; we would love to meet you. Find the location and service time that works best for you.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Hopefully, you will love your experience the first time you visit. We understand some people want their first visit to be anonymous, so we won’t embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money.  Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, meet the nice people around you, and see if you want to come back for a second visit.

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because church is not about what you look like or what you wear.

We have congregations who meet together in South Louisville and Shepherdsville. If you’re looking for an address to visit one of our church services, select the location of your choice.

Our central office is located at 7515 3rd st rd, Louisville KY 40214. View a map.

Infants to 23 months

The littlest ones of Hope Kids are important to us! Our volunteers are loving people who will provide a well-supervised and engaging environment for your child. We believe that even babies can learn how much God loves them! Babies opens for check-in 15 minutes prior to service.  Upon check-in, you will receive a security tag. When service concludes, you can pick up your child at their class by presenting your matching security tag.

2 years old through 5 years old

Our preschool program is an interactive environment where your child will learn about God through stories in the Bible, games, and crafts that they can bring home! In each lesson, we seek to communicate three key phrases that we believe are important foundations.  We teach them: God made me, God loves me, Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Kindergarten – 5th grade

Our elementary environment includes interactive worship, a Bible story presentation, activities, games, and small group time with a consistent leader. Small groups are separated by grade level. Each month, we focus on a virtue based on a Biblical principle. In each lesson, we seek to help kids understand three key principles: I need to make wise choices, I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

No. We offer a Sunday morning worship service, and encourage everyone to be connected in one of our many groups that meet throughout the week. Groups start and stop by semester throughout the year. Our Fall groups are starting soon in September.

Most people, when asking this question, are asking about style and denomination. Our church is filled with people of all different backgrounds, but as a church we are strategically aligned with several organizations: the Association of Related Churches (ARC), and the Church of God (Cleveland TN).

We are a contemporary, modern church that feels less like church and more like family. We think you will like it if you try it.

Scott’s Hope Story

Scott’s grandmother made him go to church as a kid, but he quit going the first chance he got. Years later after marriage, kids, and a visit to Hope City Church he had an experience with God that changed his life.

Hope City Church shares Real Hope so people like Scott can experience Real Life.
