Day #17

Unqualified Dreamers (Exodus 31:2-5)

God uses our willingness and supernaturally enables us to accomplish whatever he calls us to!

Exodus 31:2-5
“See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills--to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.”

Have you ever felt inadequate, completely lost or devoid of a certain set of skills? Have you felt short-changed when other people seemed to be overflowing with talent or competency? I think we have all struggled with that feeling in different settings and seasons of our lives, especially when it might come to accomplishing a big dream! But I have great news for all of us today. This may come as a major shock to some of you, but guess what, you do not have to be perfect or even be the best at something for God to use you! In fact, the truth is you, and I are not capable of being perfect, but what we can be, is equipped.

Scriptures remind us over and over again that God doesn’t look for perfect people to accomplish big things, he equips them with the skills and resources they need at the time when they need them, and I cannot think of a better example than when he called these men to design his tabernacle.

God had a very specific dream and vision for what he wanted the tabernacle to look like, and he used average men to get it done, BUT he filled them with the Spirit of God and supernaturally gave them wisdom to know and see exactly how he wanted it to look when it was finished. How amazing is that!

I can assure you, there is no better dream for your life than what God has planned for you, and you don’t have to worry about not being qualified and talented enough- God uses our willingness and supernaturally enables us to accomplish whatever he calls us to!

Prayer: God, thank you for equipping me to accomplish the future plans you have for my life. I pray that your Holy Spirit gives me knowledge, wisdom, skills, and creativity to complete whatever you are calling me to!
